What an impressive piece of craftsmanship and addition to the culinary set, as it provides a slightly shorter blade (more control than Big Horn) while incorporating a rocker-profile, great for rocking/chopping. Love the feel of the scaled handles and the cut out of the blade to help in marrying up the pointer finger/thumb to the rear tang of the blade - gives even more control. The price was steep by with MKC, you are getting top of the line quality and it's a buy-once, cry-once approach.

This is a great sized chef knife. Used it right away cutting a large ribeye and then St. Louis style ribs.
It is not the largest chef knife by any means. But it does the job great! Because it is shorter than other chef knives it is actually more versatile.

The Meat Church Chef Knife from Montana Knife Company has quickly become one of my favorite kitchen knives. It's extremely sharp, well-balanced, and the perfect medium size for everyday food prep. Whether I'm slicing meat, chopping vegetables, or handling other kitchen tasks, it performs exceptionally well. I also like that it's smaller than the Bighorn Chef Knife, making it easier to maneuver and ideal for smaller jobs around the kitchen.

Bought this for my son who is an avid barbecue/smoker chef. He absolutely loves it and uses it extensively! He is a Master Sergeant in the USAF and often cooks for his group. This knife is used daily. I also got him an MKC tee shirt to go with it!
